- mailing list for people who are interested in all kinds of hitch-hiking: autostop, hidrostop, aviastop. All subscribers may send to this list all information concerning hitchhiking.

Lithuanian

Lithuanian hitch-hikers have their own mailing-list "VAK@". Everyone who are interesting in hitch-hiking is welcome. For subscribing to this mailing list contact moderator.


Russian

There is several Russian language hitch-hiking mailing-lists for FidoNet users, but it is possible to read it like a newsgroup through the Deja News service (Type "the.name.of.newsgroup" in the Search line):

fido7.ru.autostop - Main conference for russian-speaking hitch-hikers. Experience exchange, useful information, FAQs. This newsgroup is more for experienced hitch-hikers who are interesting in competitions and big travels.
fido7.pvt.autostop - russian-speaking hitch-hikers talking place. Stories, discussions, jokes, etc.
fido7.ru.autostop.filtered - created in 1998 by Andey Zajcev from Saint Petersburg. He disagreed with policy of "fido7.ru.autostop" moderators.

There are also some other newsgroups, avilable only through FidoNet:

fido7.ru.autostop.info - digest of most important information about currently travelling hitch-hikers, as well as stories of most interesting travels.
ural.autostop - Ural-region mailing-list.
ua.autostop - Ukraine hitch-hikers' mailing-list.


Latvian

Mailing list of Latvian Hitch-Hikers Club. Allowed themes: hitch-hiking, meetings, trips organization. Allowed languages: English, Latvian, Russian.
For subscribing to this list send an email to majordomo(a)emc2.is.lv with a command "subscribe autostop" in the message body.


German

German hitch-hiking mailing-list "Trampen" was created by Veit Kuehne on 18 March 2002. You may find a list here. It works the same way as Lithuanian mailing-list (read above).


Finish

The Finnish hitch-hiking site www.liftari.org hosts a bulletin board and a mailing list for hitch-hikers. The official language on the mailing-list and the site in general is Finnish and it is used for telling stories, changing opinions and information and coordinating happenings. The bulletin board has an English section for foreigners. You can subscribe the mailing-list at www.liftari.org.
