17 12 1998 Our club took part in a presentation of youth organizations which was organized by Vilnius Gediminas' Technical University.

28 11 1998   VHHC became a real member of the Union of Vilnius Youth Organisations - "Apskritas stalas".

04 11 1998 The 2^nd general meeting of VHHC members. It abolish the club's 5 persons council. Elect a president (Vladas Sapranavicius) and Vice-President (Augustas Kligys).

09-17 10 1998 Vladas Sapranavicius from VHHC travels to Minsk (BY), Moscow and Saint Petersburg (RUS). He has visited Moscow Autostop School, Saint Petersburg Autostop Guild and Saint Petersburg Autostop League. 2,350 km.

03-04 10 1998 The second birthday of VHHC. It was celebrated in Klabiniai, Moletai district (LT). 13 hitchers take part. Augustas Kligys was granted as the Best Male Traveller of the VHHC's year (30,500 km). Audrone Ruksaite was granted as the Best Female Traveller of the VHHC's year (20,000 km). Augustas' story from his travel to Slovenia and Croatia was granted as the Story of a Year.

28-30 08 1998 Two hitchers from VHHC - Vladas Sapranavicius and Giedre Mataciunaite travel to Liepaja, Ventspils and Riga (LV). Visiting Kristine - hitch-hiker from Riga.

21 08 1998 VHHC's member Laura Stupaka leaves to China. She is responsible to represent VHHC for the next year.

20-23 08 1998 Augustas Kligys travels to Tallinn (EST).

03-25 08 1998 Albertas Agejevas and Aiste Kesminaite travel in West Europe (6,090 km). During the trip they visit Prague, Zurich, Geneva, Lyon, Paris, Venice.

31 07 - 02 08 1998 Augustas Kligys and establishers of Kaliningrad hitch-hiking club Pavel and Irina visit Svetlogorsk (Kaliningrad district, RUS).

23 07 - 19 08 1998 Two hitchers from VHHC (Andrius Jankaitis and Audrone Ruksaite) travel to France, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, Slovenia and Croatia (5,300 km).

22 07 1998 VHHC's Council appoints Latvian Laura Stupaka as the club's representative in China for one year.

21 07 1998 Latvian girl Laura Stupaka becomes a member of VHHC (second person - non Lithuanian citizen).

17 07 - 18 08 1998 Two hitchers from VHHC (Egidijus Surma and Giedre Mataciunaite) travel to The Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, France, Spain (including Ceuta in Africa), Portugal.

17-19 07 1998 Leaders of VHHC (Vladas Sapranavicius and Augustas Kligys) travel to Riga and Cesis (LV) to visit friend of the club - Laura Stupaka. 20-21 July Laura visits Vilnius.

04-05 07 1998 Second meeting of Lithuanian hitchers in ancient Lithuanian capital Kernave. 15 hitchers take part.

07 03 1998 Second International Hitch-hikers Conference in Warsaw. Hitchers from Lithuania (5 from VHHC), Russia and Poland take part.

14-16 02 1998 4^th Russian hitch-hikers meeting "Elba" in Pustoshka, near Latvian border in Russia. About 20 hitchers from 5 clubs take part (3 hitchers from VHHC).

30 01 - 02 01 1998 Audrone Ruksaite and Augustas Kligys hitch-hike to Riga (LV). Meeting with Latvia's travellers Liga and Ilze.

25 12 1997 - 04 01 1998 New Year travel to Prague, Budapest, Vienna and Bratislava. 5 hitchers from VHHC take part.
