10-12 12 1999 6 VHHC's hitchers traveled to Latvian cities: Riga, Kolka.

26-28 10 1999 9 hitchers from VHHC and 5 from Siauliai traveled to to Kaliningrad (RUS) and Vyslinskiy Bay region in Poland. 02 10 1999 The 3^rd birthday of VHHC. We had 27 participants from 3 countries (Lithuania, Russia, Latvia). Vladas Sapranavicius was granted as the Best Male Traveller of the VHHC's year (26'970 km). Inga Garnyte was granted as the Best Female Traveller of the VHHC's year. The travel story about adventures in Austria by Edvardas Sakalauskas, was granted as the Story of a Year. English story about Iran and Pakistan by Vladas won the 3^rd place.

25 09 1999 We took part in the 2^nd NGO presentation at the Vilnius' town hall's square. In this presentation were about 100 non-governmental organisations. (photos)

16 09 1999 In the most popular monthly journal for girls "Panele" was published a big story about VHHC expedition to Iran last July.

11 09 1999 The 5^th VHHC's competition. The route: Vilnius - Klaipeda - Vilnius (880 km). 6 pairs took part. After the competition 2 hitchers were granted as the members of Lithuanian Hitch-hiking Team. (more detailed results)

30 08 1999 We presented new design for english version pages of VHHC.

27-29 08 1999 Eight members of VHHC visited Latvia again. They were in Riga, Jurmala and Sidgunda.

12-15 08 1999 Three members of VHHC (Vladas, Laurynas and Vilius) travelled to Kaliningrad district (Russia). There was a meeting with local hitch-hiking club and good time on the sea shore.

07-15 08 1999 Vicepresident of VHHC Augustas Kligys traveled to Budapest and Bakonybel town (Hungary) for taking part in Rainbow Gathering and observing of Eclipse. (photos)

04-05 08 1999 VHHC had guest from Brno(CZ) Pavel Jiri Trcala. He is famous, because he made two hitch-hiking records: he were hitching in the largest number of countries (50) and during 24 h he went 2777 km!

08-11 07 1999 VHHC had guests from Riga (Latvia). It was two active hitch-hikers - Agnese and Kristina. From Lithuania they hitch-hiked to Germany and Italy.

03 07 1999 National Slovenian radio station VAL 202 broadcasted program about hitch-hiking. Also there were some fragments from the interview with the vicepresident of VHHC, Augustas Kligys, which was traveling in Slovenia few weeks ago.

03 07 - 01 08 1999 Laurynas Ivinskis finished his travel in Europe cities: Berlin(D), Prague(CZ), Hamburg(D), Copenhagen(DK), Bergen(N), Amsterdam(NL), Paris(F).

03-29 07 1999 Domas Dumse and Aiste Kesminaite had tour around Poland, Czech, Austria, Germany, France, Swiss, Italy and Luxembourg. They enjoyed Swiss.

25-27 06 1999 The 3^rd Lithuanian Hitch-hikers Meeting took place. There were 29 participants from Lithuania, Russia and Latvia. From VHHC there were 13 hitchers (among 29).

18-20 06 1999 3 pairs of VHHC hitchers travel to Kaliningrad (RUS), Malbork, Gdansk and Sopot (PL). There was a meeting with leaders of Kaliningrad HHC. Also there was one Russian participant - Anton Oumnikov, webmaster of HH site "TRASSA".

28-30 05 1999 Lithuanian and Latvian hitchers meeting in Latvia. 6 hitchers from VHHC and 6 hitchers from Riga have visited Riga and Sigulda.
