14 11 2001 General meeting of the VHHC took place. Some of main decissions, which were made:
- changed prinsiples of the governing of the club;
- limited responibilities of the President;
- reduced number of club's meetings - now meetings will take place just every second Wednesday;
- new President elected - Vytautas Kraujalis;
- new Chronicler elected - Andrius Jankaitis;
- all other positions canceled;
- stopped Club's membership in Lithuanian Travellers Union.

07 11 2001 General meeting of the Club failed because there was now required number of club's members present. Meetng postponed to 14 November, 2001.

04 11 - 31 10 2001 About 13 hitchers took part in a trip to Finland organized by Vilnius Hitch-hiking Club. 8 hitchers met each others in a rented cottage in island near Naantali, Turku region - Vladas Sapranavicius, Inga Garnyte, Asta Gulijeva, Germante Aleknaviciute, Gintare Cepinskaite, Ilmari Aalto, Anna Merkoulova ir Bulcsu Szekely (4 from LT and 4 from FIN). Others did not reach the celebration place.

05-07 10 2001 25 hitch-hikers from 3 countries participated in celebration of the 5^th anniversary of Vilnius Hitch-hiking Club. 5 novices inaugurated to hitch-hikers. Awarded the best male hitch-hiker of the year - Mindaugas Budrys and the best female hitch-hiker - Asta Gulijeva.

17-19 08 2001 Club's members Augustas Kligys, Andrius Iskauskas, Asta Gulijeva, Egidijus Surma, Andrius Jankaitis and Laurynas Ivinskis were visiting Riga (Latvia), where they participated in Riga's 800 years celebrating festival.

27-29 07 2001 Sea festival bacome more and more atractive, more international, more crowded and many other "more". 8 members of VHHC visited this festival. During the festival largest Lithuanian mobile provider Omnitel organized the original advertising compaigne for hitch-hikers. The big red bus went from Vilnius to summer "capital" of Lithuania Palanga and back collecting all hitch-hikers on the road. Totaly there were about 100 hitchers who got a ride in this bus. Two members of VHHC Vladas Sapranavicius and Andrius Iskauskas also got a ride in this bus. Also there were free souvenirs and drinks in the bus.

26 07 2001 Lina Jokubauskaite was the first hitch-hiker from Vilnius Hitch-hiking Club who has hitch-hiked in United States of America and in North America continent. She travelled in Vermont state.

06-25 07 2001 VHHC's expedition to Israel and Egypt. Vladas Sapranavicius ir Inga Garnyte travelled by rout Tel Aviv - Jaruzalem - Eilat (IL) - Nueiba - Sharm el Shyr - Hurgada - Luxor - Cairo - Arish (ET) - Arad - Masada - Modiin - Haifa - Akko - Tiberia (IL) - Amman (Jordanija) - Modiin - Jarusalem - Modiin (IL).

05 07 - 03 08 2001 Andrius Jankaitis and Vilma Nevulyte travelled to Turkey. The route was standard: Lithuania - Poland - Slovakia - Hungary - Romania - Bulgaria.

05-08 07 2001 Club's novices Ruta Danileviciute and Vitalija Kirdulyte travelled in Kaliningrad enclave (RUS) and seaside of Poland. They visited Kaliningrad, Svetlogorsk sea resort (RUS), Frombork and Malbork (PL). During the trip they stayed at VHHC's friend's Alexey Kibalnik place in Kaliningrad.

Andrius Iskauskas and Giedre Mataciunaite travelled to Saint Petersburg (RUS) via Riga (LV) and Tallinn (EST). They covered distance between Vilnius and Tallinn in amazing time - 9 hours (600 km + 2 borders crossings). They have also visited HHB member Kristo Kao in Tallinn and famous Russian hitch-hikers Alexandre Netuzhilov and Oleg Makarov in northern capital of Russia - Saint Petersburg.

Two club members Jurate Zygelyte and Reda Rimkute together with some friends of VHHC Tadas, Remigija, Remigijus, Martynas, Justas hitch-hiked to Estonian islands Saaremaa.

22-26 06 2001 Andrius Sytas travelled to Germany.

22-24 06 2001 Lithuanian hitch-hikers' meeting took place near Brazuole river 30 km to the West from Vilnius. 22 hitchers from Lithuania, Russia and USA took place in this event. It is already 5th annual Lithuanian hitch-hikers' meeting.

09-21 06 2001 Club's members Asta Gulijeva and Vilma Patalaviciute travelled to Switzerland. Girls reached border of Switzerland in 26 hours.

01-09 06 2001 Financial Director of Vilnius Hitch-hiking Club Domas Dumse and his friend Kristina travelled from Hamburg (Germany) to Slovenia via Austria and Italy.

02-03 06 2001 Club's novices Ruta Danileviciute and Vitalija Kirdulyte hitch-hiked to Riga (Latvia) and took part in international climbing championship.

02 06 2001 Club's members Vladas Sapranavicius and Inga Garnyte took part in 1^st stage of tourist auto rally championship in suburbs of Kaunas City.

23 05 2001 There was a guest in the club's meeting. We listened about famous photographer's Marius Abramavicius travel in India, Nepal and Tibet.

11-13 05 2001 Club's president Aiste Kesminaite and member Jurate Zygelyte travelled to Riga (Latvia).

11 05 2001 President Aiste Kesminaite spoke on national TV about the most popular topic in recent weeks - serial killer, killing female hitchers on the road Vilnius - Kaunas (A1). You may find TV broadcast on-line here.

05-06 05 2001 4 hitchers from VHHC (Vladas Sapranavicius, Rolandas Lanka, Vitalija Kirdulyte and Ruta Danileviciute) took part in bycyclists' marathon and ladies won the 3^rd and 4^th places!

28-29 04 2001 VHHC organized the 7^th public hitch-hiking competition "Baltija 2001" ("Baltics 2001"). 9 pairs from Vilnius city took part in this event. The length of the route was more than 1000 km and lied in teritory of Lithuania and Latvia. The best result belongs for hitching novices Tadas Sauciulis and Remigija Paulikaite (28 hrs 50 min). The second place belongs for club's pair Jurate Zygelyte and Laurynas Ivinskis (29 hrs 50 min). And the third place - Vladas Sapranavicius and Inga Garnyte (31 hrs 20 min) - VHHC's pair too.

25 04 - 15 05 2001 Club's member Mindaugas Budrys and 3 of his friends travelled to Scandinavia (PL, D, DK, S, N, EST, LV).

18 04 2001 Aiste Kesminaite, president of VHHC read the first her hitch-hiking lecture in club's meeting. The topic was "The first time".

17-21 04 2001 Club's members' Andrius Sytas and Erikas Visakavicius travel to Tartu (EST).

14-16 04 2001 Inga Garnyte and Vladas Sapranavicius travelled to Saint Petersburg (Russia). They have met some representatives of Russian hitch-hikers there.

6-27 04 2001 Club's member Lina Jokubauskaite and her friend Darius travelled in West Europe (D, NL, B, PL).

06-08 04 2001 VHHC's trip to Punia forest. 4 members of the club took part: Vladas, Inga, Aiste, Jurate.

08-14 01 2001 Augustas Kligys travels by the route: Aalborg (DK)- Copenhagen - Kiel - Paris - Aalborg.
