Club's member Vladas Sapranavicius has hitch-hiked in Iran on 14-18 October. The route was Shiraz - Esfahan - Yazd - Bafgh - Yazd.

The 11th anniversary of VHHC was celebrated on 5-7 October, 2007. Club's birthday celebration is an annual event with traditional awards for the best club's travellers of the year and inauguration of club's novices. There were even 31 participants. During the weekend celebration the traditional annual awards were issued for best female hitch-hiker of the year (Katja Lachman) and best male hitch-hiker of the year (Dainius Kinderis). It should be admitted, that Dainius Kinderis has received this award for the 4rd time already (year 2003, 2005, 2006 and 2007). It is the first time in the club's history when someone is awarded for the 4 times with this award.

Club's member Vladas Sapranavicius participated in traditional Russian hitch-hikers' gathering "Elba" near Valdai, between Moscow and Saint Petersburg. This event atracts about 250-300 hitch-hikers 3 times per year. We can say, that it is the most popular hitchhiking event in the World.

Club member Andzej Milos 37 days hitch-hiked in Balkans countries. He visited Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania and Montenegro.

Lithuanian Hitch-hiking Gathering took place on 29 June - 1 July 2007 in natural surrounding of Šalčininkai, Lithuania. Even 19 participants
from Lithuania, United Kingdom and Russia took part in this great meeting!

Club member Donatas Puzaras yesterday came back from 2 months trip to N.East Asia, W.Europe and N.Africa. Route trip: LT - BY - UA - RO - BG - TR - GEO - AM - Iranas - TR - Kipras - UK - F - Andora - E - MA - E - D - PL - LT.

Club member Arnas Aukstikalnis together with friend Martynas hitch-hiked over Europe for 3 weeks. It was first Arnas trip as VHHC member. They visited Berlin, Amsterdam, Hague, Brussel, Paris and Barcelona.

Club's member Vladas Sapranavicius participated in Moscow hitchhiking club's "Free Travel Academy" "non-alcoholic forest" gathering near Moscow. Totaly there were over 100 hitchhikers from Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Lithuania, Poland, Germany.

VHHC members Augustas Kligys and Katja Lachmann made a short visit to Lithuania. This couple is on the road since January 2006. They have already visited all Central American countries and Cuba. In June they fly to Venezuela and start discovering countries in South America. More about their trip read here.

VHHC organised trip to Kaliningrad region. Participants: 2 club members - Dainius, Andžej and 4 other LT hitchhikers. During trip they visited Sovetsk, Kaliningrad, Pionersk, Rybachiy. Also organized hikes in dunes scarps, forest, swamp and ex military station surrounding on Efa hill.

'The Aleid Smid Television Company' from Holland filmed TV programme about hitchhiking and Vilnius hitchhiking club. During filming VHHC members interviewed by TV journalists. After that they organized mini hitchhiking competition Vilnius Europe Geographic Centre". In competition took part 2 VHHC members: Dainius Kinderis and Andžej Miloš in pairs with Holland journalists.

After 5,5 months spent in Africa VHHC member Dainius Kinderis reached Lithuania.
He hitched 18181 km. across 15 countries including: Morocco (Western Sahara), Mauritania, Mali, Burkina Faso,
Togo, Benin, Nigeria, Cameroon, Gabon, Congo, DRC (ex Zaire), Angola, Namibia and RSA in transit. Due to failure
getting Senegal and RSA visas Dainius was not able to reach westernmost and southernost projections of African
continent.

Two club's members, Andrius Jankaitis and Vita Vadoklyte traveled 34 days in south of Spain, Morroco and Portugal. Route trip: Granada (E) - Tarifa - Tanger (MA) - Asilah - Rabat - Casablanca - Marrakesh - Essaouira - Agadir - Quarzazate - Er-Rachidia - Merzouga (Sahara desert) - Meknes - Fes - Chefchaouene - Ceuta (E) - Seville - Faro (P) - Algarve region - Lisboa - Sintra - Porto.

VHHC member Andžej Miloš hitch-hiked just after NY Eve. Trip route: Zagreb (HR) - Ljubljana (SLO) - Maribor (SLO) - Vienna (A) - Brno (CZ) - Česky Tešin (CZ) - Czestochowa (PL) - Lodz (PL) - Vilnius.
