The 4^th International Hitch-Hiking Conference was held in 4-5 March, 2000 in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. This event was organised by Vilnius Hitch-Hiking Club. The participants were members of the biggest European hitch-hiking clubs as well as editors of the most popular English, Russian, Lithuanian and Polish hitch-hiking websites and "independent" hitch-hikers from the whole Europe.

During the conference hitch-hikers discussed various issues in first day's seminars and experienced travellers read the lectures about nearly everything you can connect with hitch-hiking. The second day was dedicated for sharing hitch-hiking experience and stories from travels, expeditions and competitions.
