Lithuanian Hitch-hiking Gathering will take place at June 23-26 in a very natural surrounding of Alytus,
which is ~100 kilometres west south of Vilnius.

The 11th annual public hitchhiking competition "Baltics 2006" were organized in Lithuania and Latvia. Competition started in Vilnius. 19 pairs of participants took part in this event.
Winners of the 1st place are Agne Sinkeviciute and Mindaugas Mejeras, 2nd - Mindaugas Gofmanas and Sigita Kursaityte, 3rd place - Justas Kaveckas and Aiste Laurinaityte. Congratulations for winners!

23 10 2005 - Tomas was arested in Sudan

Club's member Tomas who currently hitchhike in Sudan, was arested in the capital city of this country. The reason was - his photos made is strategic object of the city - street market. Soon after continuous investigation and deletion of photos, Tomas was released. Tomorrow he will continue hitchhiking to Sannar and later (not earlier than 29 Oct) to Ethiopia. |

14 10 2005 - Kinga starts her TransAfrican hitchhiking trip
|
Our beloved friend and famous traveller Kinga "Freespirit" from Gdansk (Poland) started her trip to Africa on Tuesday. During this trip she plans to visit a lot of African countries. Africa still remains the last unvisited continent for her after Kinga's and Chopin's 5 years long hitchhiking trip around the world in 2000-2004.
After this trip Kinga wrote two great books about it - one in Polish and the second - in English language "Led by Destiny". |
